Maglite torches with incandescent bulbs remain a well deserved favourite with precision engineering and excellent finish quality.    LED torches offer many attractive features, most notably increased battery life and the ability to use combinations of 'bulbs' in torches even with different and interchangeable colour combinations.   LED features   Energy efficient: an LED does not have a filament to heat resulting in virtually no lost energy.. Long life: many LED's have a 100,000 hr life compared with an incandescent bulb which will typically burn out in 40 hrs or less. Mechanical reliability: there is no glass or filament to break in an LED making it perfect for rugged environments.
